"A clear understanding of what is causing problems in the home is a prerequisite to solving these problems" - Matt Danielson
We don't simply write up bids. Instead we take an indepth look into the problems in a home and then provide insightful recommendations as to how these issues can be fixed. As certified energy auditors with over a thousand successful home energy projects we feel qualified to provide meaningful insights and perspectives.
Many of our clients come to us having already had an energy audit. This can provide meaningful insights that are often helpful in contructing a proposal and plan for you. Having a previous energy audit is helpful, but it is not necessary. Energy audits are also not required for energy company rebates (working with a certified contractor is a requirement).
We currently do not charge for our assessments and visits. Considerable time is often given in this process but it is our view that a careful assessments and understanding of the situation is needed for us to construct a quality proposal and plan.
We provide free energy assessments. As State of Minnesota certified energy auditors we have the tools and resources to provide valued insight and perspectives.
Considerable detail goes into sealing the building envelope. We adhere to 'best practices' and this work is done prior to insulating.
We specialize in cellulose and closed cell foam as we have found these to be superior insulation materials. We often avoid fiberglass . Ask us why.
We provide a way to greatly improve the efficiency of your existing windows, but at a fraction of the cost of replacements.
